The plugin WP-CACHE (2.1.2) was installed and activated. It has since been deactivated–so one would think. I need to verify that the files are no longer caching. Could someone please let me know where to look to see if a file is currently being cached.

The reason I suspect caching is still happening is because one of the categories has an unique sidebar. This unique sidebar shows a list of 30 categories and only this sidebar displays those categories.

When the listing of the categories on the unique sidebar is changed from an UNORDERED LIST to an ORDERED LIST the change is not apparant–unless one of the categories displayed is selected. When the new page opens it displays the same unique sidebar, but now it shows the ORDERED LIST.

In other words the same sidebar sometimes displays as an unordered list and other times it displays a ordered list. I suspect a caching problem from wp-cache 2.1.2.

    1) How do I verify if it is or is not caching?

    2) Are there any dangers if wp-cache is removed?

Look at the source of the page in question. WP-Cache adds a hidden HTML comment to the bottom of the page saying whether it was pulled from the cache or generated fresh. If the comment is not there, WP-Cache didn’t touch the thing.
