• Just installed the WP 5.0 update and I have approximately 30+ client sites that have automatically installed this update and they all have WP Bakery as their site builder.

I need a way to disable the builder that comes built-in with this new version of WP as my clients are all familiar and prefer WP Bakery Visual Composer; not this new thing that appears to be forced on them.

  • Hi,
I am not able to see visual composer also not able to edit anything.
Could you please help me to resolve this issue.

Classic Editor almost solved our Visual Composer issues except where an existing page is using a ‘Display Product for WooCommerce’ element; on that page the standard editor just shows code.

    Relevant plugins installed:
    WP core 5.4.2
    Classic Editor 1.5
    Display Product for WooCommerce 2.0.19
    Salient Visual Composer 4.11.2
    WooCommerce 4.3.0

Hi, if you have this problem WPBakery Page Builder is not working with WordPress 5.5 please check out the article I made how to fix it an easy way.
I hope it will help you resolve the issue.
    Thanks!

@klaichich No offence, but rolling back to a previous build of WP isn’t a fix!

@tlgtimeshare Thanks for sharing your opinion, of course this is a temporary solution and for now I don’t any see special reason to update to WP 5.5. It seems to be absolutely fine to stick with the 5.4.2 until WPBakery releases a fixing update to their plugin.
The WordPress itself can also receive a newer update pretty soon. As from the past experience the developers of the WordPress always have been rolling out updates very soon after releasing a major update like 4.0, 5.0…

@klaichich I ran the update on a clone site, so I knew it had broken it. I seems there are a lot of users with 5.5 issues not just related to Visual Composer. Hopefully WP will roll out a critical update soon, as WPBakery has worked without issue for every previous release so it would be logical to assume 5.5 brings wholesale changes to the way it works. Until then I remain on 5.4.2 ??

We just had this problem with the Salient Theme. Turns out it was an incompatibility with Cloudflare. We stopped Cloudflare and went back to our hosting DNS. This worked after propogation time. Savemi

I just updated woocommerce 4.7.1 and now my visual composer for the front end will not load anymore.
    Please advise.
