definitely start with the deactivated ones ?? if the problem persists after they’re gone you should look for more up to date or plugins that do the same things as the ones you’re using and replace them.

I deleted the plug-ins I wasn’t using and updated the ones who had updates and the issue isn’t fixed. Any other ideas?

can you give me the links to the exact audio players you’ve got installed? i just want to check something as you mention wp audio player and audio player; wp audio player in the wordpress plugins repository isn’t compatible with wordpress version 4 so i just wanted to check which players you’re using…

i think that one of them is mediaelement.js html5 video and audio player (your music players are wrapped in tags with classes of mejs-container). if that’s the one you’re using then it’s not been updated in nearly 2 years and only compatible up to wordpress 3.5.2

also, on further investigation you’re using the sirup theme which hasn’t been updated in since 2008! @_@

all in all you’ve got some very old plugins and an antique theme running on the latest version of wordpress. time for a rebuild!

It was WP Audio Player 1.4

And the other player was Audio Player 2.03.

WP-AUDIO-PLAYER 1.4 player no longer maintained or supported by the developer. last update to it was feb 2013

    https://tommcfarlin.com/audio-player-for-wordpress/

Audio Player 2.0.3 hasn’t been updated since jan 2013 and is only compatible up to wordpress version 2.9.2

plus your theme is an antique! ditch them all and start again with new, current plugins and theme.

Do you know of a theme that is similar in style to the one I have? Is there anything else I can do to fix this?

    jack randall

    (@theotherlebowski)

i don’t know of any particular theme, they’re all very much down to personal taste really. if you search for “clean” “minimal” and “magazine” you should find things that fall into a similar style.

in terms of fixing the problem in the current theme you’d either need to become a theme developer yourself or pay someone to take on the development and maintenance of it for you.
