• Dear wordpressers:-)

Discovered WP Audio-player (https://wpaudioplayer.com/) and felt in love with its functionality! – But the software does not work as it appears to.

    1. When I want to include audio from the WordPress media library (WordPress version 2.8.3), the button “include through audio-player” does not make any code appear in the form but only title etc. as pure text.

    2. When I write [audio:test.mp3] on an article page, it stays on the website just the same code, no mp3 flash player appears at all.

    3. When I write [audio: …] on a blog entry, instead of the code or a mp3 flash player, an error occurs saying, Adobe Flash version 9 is being needed (version 10 is installed!).

It looks like some of these problems have occured at several WordPress installations. A solution has not been found. Does anyone know some tricks how to make the wonderful plugin run again?

    Thanks! Stefan

  • I am currently using 2.0 beta 6 on wordpress 2.8.3. It works perfectly.

My default audio folder location is the directory “/audio”. I upload all audio files to that folder using ftp and insert it in a post using the following code:

    [audio:filename.mp3]

    It’s working fine for me.

    3. When I write [audio: …] on a blog entry, instead of the code or a mp3 flash player, an error occurs saying, Adobe Flash version 9 is being needed (version 10 is installed!).

Try switching to a different theme and see if it persists.

Just to get a head start, if changing themes makes it work again, see this thread.

Thanks! The thread helped me a lot. It was all about the wp_head tag.

But still the player does not appear in article pages. At least on blog posts, it works perfectly fine. This is strange, isn’t it? Due to the same header they both pages use…

    :-/
