WP-Attachment doesn't attach the files, shows 500 Internal server error

  • I have a 4.3.1 multisite setup consisting of 2 sites. If I click on Post New – Attach media, WP Attachments doesn’t attach the file from media library on to the post.

    From developer console, I see this error when I click on New Post/Edit post:

    GET https://new.cbps.in/wp-content/plugins/wp-attachments/inc/styles/ij-post-attachments.css?ver=9c1fa12f1383596399a5393a6a5010eb 500 (Internal Server Error) post-new.php:51

    line 51 on post-new.php corresponds to:

    <link rel='stylesheet' id='ij-post-attachments-css' href='https://new.cbps.in/wp-content/plugins/wp-attachments/inc/styles/ij-post-attachments.css?ver=9c1fa12f1383596399a5393a6a5010eb' type='text/css' media='all' />

    I can, however, attach the file from Media Library – Attach byutton.

    Any idea why this is so?

    Thanks for your reply. I uninstalled and reinstalled the plugin. I don’t see any errors now, but the list of attachments doesn’t show up either. Also when clicking on add media, only the file name comes up in the editor, it doesn’t link to the attachment.

    Actually, the not linking to media was my mistake, I’d selected link to as “none”, but the attachments do not show up ??

    Hi,
    do you see it in the Media metabox while editing the page? Also, please make sure to have “SHow images” enabled if you are trying to show this type of file.

    Hi Marco,

    The media metabox is visible, but the box says

    No media attachments found.

    Interestingly, if I head over to Media Library, select a file, click on attach, then it comes up on the post.

    Selecting a file from within a post, however doesn’t seem to attach the file
