WP as biz website SEO

Hi, I’m planning to use WordPress not as blog, but as a website.
I’ll add 6 to 10 pages and rarely add new content.

Should I turn my WP installation static?

I heard that wordpress is great for SEO, but if you don’t feed it with content, google will drop you. I know there is a general SEO recommendation “fresh content = higher rankings”, but, will google drop my website just because I’m using a blog system as my homepage?

Anybody here have any experience with WP as website?
