WP API key, password no longer works

Hello!

Yesterday I worked on a site all day that is in the process of being transferred from one hosting company to another. The new hosting company let us put it up under a temporary domain name just to make sure we got all the files across etc. yesterday it worked fine, although the username changed from admin to another, but I’m not really certain why that happened or if the lady who owns the site might have changed it.

Anyways, I went to WP.com and signed up to get an API key for one of the plugins to work. I also got a new Akismet API. After I installed those, I can no longer use my username and password to get on to the site.

any ideas?

I’ve tried to reset the password, but it won’t take that either..
