I’m looking to launch a few blogs and WP is my prefered blog tool. However, I’d like to find a way to integrate photo capabilities into the blog as well.

Has anyone integrated any of the photo galleries (Coppermine, etc) into WP? I’d love to see some examples? Ideally I’d like a blogger to be able to create a blog entry and more or less attach images to that entry.

Figured Gallery2 sizing out, but… Jillij, I have gone over all of the mods and double checked the paths and tried various alternative paths and still no luck. I am going to do a fresh install of everything and start again.

Maybe I am using the link to the gallery wrong? I assume that the modifications make phpwebgallery always appear in the WP frame, even if I access it by name (https://mysite/phpwebgallery/). The changes have made access to the gallery admin not possible, with the same error as mentioned above. I realize you may not want to use your time this way, but I would really like to get photon to work. The test-site is https://texas-motors.com/blog/

Yes, back again. Coppermine/WP out of the box is at https://nwdentalanesthesia.com/wordpress/
At a glance, all went well and installed pretty easily. I did find the plugin version 3.7, and it seems to work.

The only gap I can’t bridge is inserting albums. At the WP write screen, I can select the groups option, but there are no albums to choose from in the dropdown menu. I have tried my best to make users that are integrated in both cpg and wp, and used the admin to add, but still, no luck. Sound familiar? Or are albums inserted differently? The only other thing I don’t get is the login from wp will sometimes dump me into cpg, and sometime not. Not sure what’s going on there.

If I can iron this out, then I think Coppermine is going to be my choice out of the 3 (Gallery2, Coppermine, and phpwebgallery). We’ll see.

you can try Copperleaf theme, it has its own integrated photo gallery.

sidmystic: heh, not sure how the person that maintains the site did it. but just by looking at it, it uses both Connections theme for WordPress and WPG2 Connections Theme for Gallery 2 – should be easy to setup.

Just wanted to update this for anyone still looking. I currently use WPG2 2.0 with WP2 2.0.7 and Gallery2 2.1.1 on three sites.
