• Hello, I have been able to successfully use WP All Import to bring in all of the stores, but the one thing cannot figure out is how to programmatically get the “Preview Location” functionality to fill in the Lat/Long values. Because with out those, the search is useless.

We have over 4000 records so going through one by one and clicking that button is not an option, nor is actually going to Google and getting that data. Do you have any suggestions on what we could do?

    Thanks!

The WP All Import, and the majority of other import plugins don’t geocode the data on import. To work around that I created the CSV Manager add-on, which does geocode the data on import.

So if we purchase this it is guaranteed to do what we need? I only say this because we had already invested into WP All Import a few years ago, so purchasing another import plugin is going to be a tough sell without some sort of guarantee.

    Thanks,

I can’t give a 100% guarantee that all the addresses you want to import will be recognized by the Google Geocode API. Sometimes addresses are structured in a way that confuses the Geocode API, but you can send the CSV over the tijmen at wpstorelocator.co, and I can test it.

Thanks Tijmen, it isn’t really the “quality” of addresses that I am worried about, I know you can’t guarantee that they are right. I just want to make sure that if I import proper information, that the lat/long is going to get auto-populated. Because that is data I don’t have. Does that make sense?
