WP-Advanced-Stats 1.0.0 Beta Tester/Programmers Needed

  • This is the beta of the WP-Advanced-Stats plugin for WordPress. If you have some PHP/mySQL please test it out and anyone who wants to write there own viewer or suggest a change or help out in anyway leave and comment and you can email me at [email protected].

    How far from release is this?

    • It needs to be test on other wp installs
    • It needs a completed viewer (somebodies, anybodies)

    Install Recorder

    1. Download the plugin and put it in your plugins directory.
    2. Activate the plugin.

    FAQ

    • When is a viewer coming out? I’m writing one as fast as I can and hopefully some other people take up the cause and start writing there own (if you do email me your site and I’ll link back to you).
    • What happened to the stats? WP-Advanced-Stats is now being released in two parts, WP-Advanced-Stats-Recorder which records all the data and WP-Advanced-Stats-Viewer which parses, evaluates and displays the data.
    • Why did WP-Advanced-Stats get broken up into two parts? Well there are a bunch of reasons I broke it up.
    • Easier to Update I can now update either the Recorder or the viewer depending on what changes.
    • Community Being broken up allows other people to use the recording engine for there own stats. The database keeps track of pretty much all the important session variables. You can query it to get country, time, os, browser, predictions of hits, hits and about a million other things. The more people using it to find out cool stats the happy everyone will be.
    • Server Load If you have a huge user load the recorder takes very little time on it’s own and you can hopefully (please make difference viewers everyone) find a different viewer that doesn’t display very many statistics.

    new Viewer version up. Adds some functionality. Might fix the errors that jwurster and piginzen are having. piginzen there is no viewer currently written for count my clicks but they are being logged to the database if you have it running.

    Got the new version and everything seems to display fine now, except there is no search or top posts info. But I guess that data will come.

    This plugin is really nice! But it lacks just one thing… a list of search strings. I mean the keywords thanks to which peaople find the site via searchengines.

    And I’ve got a few questions.

    1. “Recording since” – there’s no date after that. Is it normal?
    2. In “Referers” what does the first number with a blank referer represent?
    3. What is the order of recording users (if there is any)? I’d like it to be shown by date.
    4. In “Daily stats” does the numer of “Users Online” represent the max of users online at the same time?

    2. An old version of the record was running. I’ll right in a fix into the new version.
    3. By user id.

    Mmm, I can’t access https://blog.noontide.ca/ anymore? I get this error-message: “Sorry, but you are UNAUTHORIZED to view this site”.

    I have installed the plugin and I am very impressed. I do have some questions/issues. Just like Lipa with me the “Recording since” does not show any date.

    Also, is there a way to ignore my own site as referrer? Now the Referers list is filled with pages from my own domain which is not very interesting.

    In the daily stats view it would be convenient if the first column contained the date and if the order was descending.

    I tried accessing them, too, because I have a plugin conflict with this and the new wp-contactform. I had to delete them all so I could login out of my WP admin.

    *My date recorded since: is not showing a date either.
    *I am only getting my own blog as a referrer also.
    *My top posts is not updating properly.
    *I would still like to see a count of how many times a user has logged into the website.

    I was wondering if you are updating the plugin still or is it on hold for the time being.
