/wp-admin/upgrade.php opens a blank page

    Hi all,

    When upgrading to WP 2.8.1 and running the …/wp-admin/upgrade.php it opens a blank page. I can not access my Dashboard. And also on my blog – the ‘Site Admin’ is present and leads me to a ‘Hello World’ WP blog that I have not installed.

    I understand that the blank page has something to do with a PHP error – So what could be the problem?

    Additional information – I upgraded from WP 2.7.1

    I have now re-installed it all and now it behaves the other way around.
    My blog displays a blank page, where as I can now enter my dashboard. It must have someting to do with the config-file, but I have no idea what it could be…

    Issue is solved. From my backup (WP 2.7.1) I dragged the following files over to my root folder:

    * wp-config.php
    * htacccess

    For some reason I had also erased my K2 theme – I simply dragged it from my backup directly into the wp-content/themes folder. And it works!

    Lessons learned – backups are very useful! The 5min-install just never worked with me.
