• Hi,

I just followed the 5 steps to install WordPress on my hosting provider’s web server. I created a database and added a user from my c-panel by going to MySQL databases.

I manually edited wp-config.php to put in all the relevant info and uploaded all files to the server in the root directory (under /public_html)

I then went to my website.com/wp-admin/install.php (in Firefox), expecting to see an install page but all I get is a blank page.

    Any idea why?

    Thanks!

Take a look at the video in the following post with step-by-step directions on installing WordPress via Cpanel.

Thanks! That’s a really helpful video. One thing I noticed is that you have a php.ini in your public_html. I don’t. I’m guessing that’s necessary for WP? If so, how do I get that file?

No, it’s not necessary…I created that on an account I have with Bluehost and included the php.ini to increase the max file upload size.

    Hello,
I’ve this same problem, though i can login through ‘techufo.com/wp-login’, i am unable to see the wp-admin dashboard, all i can get is a blank page…i was suggested for that php.ini file to add some memory limit which i can’t find on my server..how to get that….?

Can anyone else help resolve this issue? I believe my WP files are all loaded correctly on my server in my Public_html directory; but I have the same problem as Kufloyd does where after I load to my server, I can’t access the WP-Admin install panel in my web browser; instead I get this error on the page:

Warning: require_once(/home/htmmel/public_html//wp-includes/classes.php) [function.require-once]: failed to open stream: No such file or directory in /home/htmmel/public_html/wp-load.php on line 46
