wp-admin/includes/update-core Invalid argument supplied for foreach

  • I’ve installed WP on a free hosting for about a year, today I’ve upgraded to 4.2.3 but, starting with the upgrade before, while in the upgrade procedure I see the following warning repeated several times:

    Warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in <my user home path>/blog/wp-admin/includes/update-core.php on line 1252

    Then it fail to select the database as I describe in another post (being just a warning and not while upgrading the database I think the messages and the db select failure aren’t related)

    hosting php version is 5.3.10

    What could be the warning about?
