    Hi All,

I have a weird one on my hands.

All of a sudden (and I mean overnight with no changes to the site,) I started getting 500 Internal Error as well as not being able to access my /wp-admin dashboard.

I CAN login going directly to /wp-login.php but once I’m in there, I randomly get redirected to a 404 page not found error. This happens sometimes and not every time. For example /wp-admin/plugins.php points to a 404.

I have not recently installed new plugins. The last change I made was to my header.php and it was adding a simple image.

Last night everything was fine in there and this morning it feels like a logistical nightmare.

I have also tried deactivating plugins, testing, and reactivating one at a time to see if I can find a culprit and that isn’t working.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated!

It looks like it was the host. Nothing to do with WordPress.

    Huh!!!
    I have the similar issue : (
But its little different. Only my admin account is redirected to 404, on the same time I m able to login as another user and do posts from there.
    Really strange!!!
How one account is able to access the information and other is not.

Please some expert advice us on this.

    Thanks in advance.

    HI Alx,

Did you find the soulution for. Was it really a issue with host??

It really was an issue with the host in my case. The server that the site was on was having some major trouble. When that was fixed, so was my site.

Have you tried creating another admin user?

Have you tried disabling all plugins to see if there is a conflict?
