• Hi everyone,
Recently I’ve been working on increasing my site speed – this has been a slow and confusing process since I am not a website expert. I experienced a few style sheet issues causing weird displays. I managed to fix those problems as they popped up, but now I’m repeatedly seeing the ERR_CONNECTION_CLOSED page with the message, “{my-site} unexpectedly closed the connection”.
I assumed this was probably an issue with the caching/speed plugins I’ve been using, so I made a backup of my site and activated troubleshooting mode with the intent to reactivate plugins one by one to see which one(s) are causing the issue. However, when I attempted to do this, the admin console would freeze up, send me the above-mentioned error page and then reload and tell me that activating/deactivating “x” plugin caused site failure and action has been undone.
I thought maybe it was an issue with my connection/pc as I don’t have the best internet connection, so I cleared the cache, cookies, and history on my pc and then restarted my device. Same problem with the admin page, but at least now the live website is loading. So, for site visitors, there’s no problem. But I can’t make any changes to my site or try to fix the problem because the admin screen crashes every time I try to change a setting or navigate to a new page.
From my point of view, this seems to be a spontaneous issue as I didn’t make any changes that immediately preceded this problem. It was working fine yesterday, but today upon my first login attempt, this problem cropped up.

For reference: I am using the “Hello Elementor” theme. I am using Bluehost as my website host, and am using the Elementor Pro plugin to build my site. For website optimization, I have been using the Async JavaSCript and W3 Total Cache Plugins. I have a total of 14 active plugins at the moment. I can provide a full list of plugins if it might help.

  • Hello @bailey1204

When visiting your website through the WordPress link, it’s working: https://blossomingbarnfarm.com/

That means, there’s an issue with connecting your domain to WordPress.

When checking your domain for nameservers and DNS records, we are getting errors. This means, your DNS records are not properly configured with Bluehost.

This link shows how to use a domain you already own on WordPress.

    https://wordpress.com/support/domains/connect-existing-domain/

Then update your DNS settings by adding the WordPress name servers as shown here.

After updating the name servers, the changes shall be reflected within a few hours.

Let us know if this worked.

It seems that those instructions are for wordpress.com. I am using www.remarpro.com and don’t have the menu options that are described in the instructions. Do the same instructions still apply or is there another way to do this for www.remarpro.com?
