Wp-Admin page is not working

  • I don’t even know if that’s the correct version of word press that I am using. Anyway, I am trying to go to my log in by typing in my site /wp-admin and it comes up to a blank page. I was playing around with some coding in the header.php section but only copy and pasting trying to figure out some javascript stuff………. I don’t know if I deleted something that may have caused this or what the heck is going on…???

  • It should be yoursite/wp-login.php If you installed WP into a folder then it will be yousite/foldername/wp-login.php

    If that does not work, which happened to mine once. I can tell you how to find a back-door login page that will accept your current admin name and password. That is if you have access to your Cpanel controls (own your own hosting package).

    i don’t have it in a folder on this computer. could you tell me how to do the back-door login!? PLEASE!!!!!! My site needs work like ASAP lol Thanks!

    Try switching to the Twenty Ten theme by renaming your current theme’s folder in wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides.

    so by replacing the theme, will i have to start my site from scratch again?

    wp-content/themes/Twenty Ten or wp-content/themes/TwentyTen ??

    This is also happening to me, and I have no idea why.. This is a huge problem. I cannot log into the dashboard.

    There’s no bug of this type in WordPress core that I know of.

    No. Your content is stored in your database – within your theme.

    it’s not letting me rename the folder. i have twenty ten in there already. is there another way to activate that folder? should i just completely delete my current theme folder?
