wp-admin page broken, visual editor broken

  • hello. i recently upgraded to 2.5.1 and it looks great! unfortunately after making a few posts my admin area got messed up. Im not sure how this happened but…

    above the top NAV in the admin area is now a thick, horizontal white bar. All of the below tables (with the wordpress articles in them) are extremely elongated (about 700 pixels high each).

    Also, the visual editor isnt working. It will only let me use the HTML one. If i click the Visual tab… nothing happens.

    Has anyone had this problem? I tried reinstalling 2.5.1 but the problem still persists.

    Help!

  • I have this problem – and in the user screen there is no checkbox for using a visual editor.

    I’m using WP 2.51 – anything else you need I’ll be glad to supply.

    right now the checkbox for visual editor is selected in my admin area… that’s what confuses me the most

    i deactivated an AddThis dropdown plugin and it fixed the problem. If you have this plugin installed and are having the visual editor problem… deactivate it! https://www.addthis.com
