wp-admin only usable with all plugins disabled *used to work fine*
-
Hello,
I am having horrible problems on two of the domains I run with wordpress that has me befuddled. I host with Liquidweb, who has top notch support, and they are equally befuddled.Without installing a new plugin, updating a new plugin, or tinkering with code, my sites completely stopped working (both /wp-admin and the frontend of the site).
My host’s support disabled the jetpack plugin, at which point I could see my homepage, but when I went to /wp-admin I just received a 500 Error page in Chrome and a blank page in every other browser I tried.
My host then disabled all of my plugins by renaming my wp-content/plugins directory. I was now able to access my website and /wp-admin again, but this is of minimal help because both sites are plugin driven.
I re-created the /plugins directory. I then downloaded the following plugins to my local computer via FTP, and then reuploaded them via FTP to the plugins folder:
The Events Calendar (Modern Tribe)
The Events Calendar Pro (Modern Tribe)
Wordpress SEO (Yoast)With these three plugins, I was able to run the frontend and admin area of my site just fine. Anything beyond that caused a variety of issues in the admin area, including but not limited to, not being able to modify posts, not being able to add posts, or getting a blank screen when trying to access /wp-admin
Some of the plugins responsible for one of these errors:
Shareaholic
loginradius
nextgen gallery
jb shortenerMy greatest confusion is that EVERYTHING worked 100% fine, and I made no updated or modifications (except to posts) – and then two sites just completely ceased to work.
The domains are: https://cleverock.com + https://musiccityencore.com
Any insight from the esteemed wordpress community is greatly appreciated.
??[Am I permitted to offer a small fee for a developer to help me, or does that post need to go somewhere else?]??
