wp-admin login is not working when switching to PHP > 5.3

    Hi,
    we have some problems with the resources on our server, and the hosting provider advised to switch to PHP7. After the switch, I was not able to login to the admin panel. Seems the site is running, but can’t be 100% sure, because there is a cache running, so could be I got cached pages.

    Update on this subject :
    problem is solved. The used theme had was using ‘&$var’ in its core.php.
    After removing the ‘&’ everuthing worked ok again. Now running on PHP7.
