    Hi!

I have multiple sites and Wordfence always keeps using the default (/wp-admin/)

I think it cannot be changed anywhere or am I wrong?
I should be able to give the admin link in my config per link I assume….

Hi @jaalders, thanks for your message.

Whilst we generally consider changing the admin URL “security through obscurity” and not particularly worthwhile, we do already use the WordPress functions admin_url() and network_admin_url() rather than hard-coding the path to your login for our emails etc.

It’s possible that any plugin or method you’re using to change the path isn’t fixing it for when those functions are used.

    Thanks,
    Peter.

    Thanks @wfpeter

I have indeed the login URL changed, so that this is not the default.
The admin URL remains the same after login, true.
But that makes it a bit hard to add new sites. You have to add, then login with the correct URL, go back to WF and then complete the errored connection.

I would think this can be easier ??

    Hi @jaalders,

Ah my mistake, I didn’t realize Wordfence Central was the link you were speaking of. We won’t automatically detect that the admin URL is different from there and it’ll try the default path as you’ve seen.

I will mention the possible ability of specifying an admin URL in Central to our development team, although you can add Central sites from the site by clearing sites from the “Connection Issues” tab, heading over to your site and logging in as an admin. Navigate to Tools > Diagnostics > Other Tests > Clear all Wordfence Central connection data. Clear the connection data and then from the Wordfence Dashboard, click on “Connect this site” in the Wordfence Central widget.

    Many thanks,
    Peter.
