    it’s not selectable

    (@tremayne)

it is editable on the other (dead site)

I guess the “main site” is secondary?

    (@tremayne)

If I delete the dead site, do you think I will get editable options?

    Thread Starter Tremayne

    (@tremayne)

Is it safe to deactivate the dead site?

Don’t delete the main site. You will have to rebuild from go..

What we will do then is this.

In the database, wp_2_options, site_url try removing the /wordpress from the url so that it is just “https://marcusassoc.net”, and then in the wp_options change the site_url to include /2012.

Let’s see if that changes things for the better.

Let’s leave the first site alone for now. Do you know why the first site was abandoned?

    (@tremayne)

no, it was before me and there doesn’t seem to be anythign in it / to it/

I changed both, and I an still log in but no change to the url

dumb question, but is there a plugin for this? grasping at straws and starting to panic. ??

    don’t panic.

Someone messed the site up and it takes some effort to get it straight. I don’t know of a plugin that will clear this type of thing up.

We are making progress. It’s just that there compound issues here. First, someone attempted to change the main site to the second site and didn’t know how to finish it. Then we have a subdirectory install where we need to get the url to appear to be the root.

Do a search in for the wp_options and the wp_2_options and see if there are any other /wordpress that show up. Do the search from the main db, not just the tables. That way you get them both as long as you select both of those tables.

let me know what you find.

in wp_options home has the /wordpress

BUt I can’t make heads or tails of it.

Can I hire you to fix it? Assuming I can afford your rate?

Are they showing up in both the wp_options and the wp_2_options?

Out of curiosity, in the wp_2_options table. For the site_url and the “home” did you change both of those to remove /wordpress ?

    Ignoring wp_options for now.
