there;s literally nothing at the /2012 site, nothing will be lost if we have to delete it.

Okay, apparently the second site was changed to be the main site, based on what you are saying there.

This is a little confusing, bear with me. I saw in your links /2014/ and you are seeing 2012, and you are seeing / which is root, which doesn’t show anything, and didn’t before we started.

I wish I were looking at that db.

When you are logged into the site, and in the network dashboard, do you have two sites showing in Sites > All Sites ?

    Thread Starter Tremayne

    (@tremayne)

    yes I have two sites

    /2012
    and
    /

I can also give you db login

The upload folder has /2012, /2013. and /2014 directory

No. don’t give me db login here.

site has maybe 40 broken links, I’m not opposed to manually re-placing them

Yeah, there are going to be broken links until we get through this.
What I want to do is get a clear picture of where we are in your directories.

What I was referring to with the 2014 is the login link. Was that login link in a post or on a page? I just want to understand where that link came from so I know what is going on.

In your root, you have the following directory of wordpress. Are there any other directories WP might be installed in?

    (@tremayne)

the redirect was popping up with a /2014 directory, but it isn’t there.

    Thread Starter Tremayne

    (@tremayne)

no, the root directory only has a wp install in root/wordpress

no current root level wp install, although I think we’re looking at legacy issues.

    Okay, that’s a relief. ??

If you go to the “wp_site” table what does the path show?

    Thread Starter Tremayne

    (@tremayne)

there is some random stuff in their directory from an old flash / js / css site from two thousand twelve, but none looks like a conflict

    (@tremayne)

    just one entry… marcusassoc.net path /

Yeah, it should only be one.

    Would you do me a favor and change define('BLOG_ID_CURRENT_SITE', 1); back to define('BLOG_ID_CURRENT_SITE', 2);

And tell me what happens when you try to log in?

That would be back to wp-config.php
