Hi – I have a weird situation. After installing the plugin, I didn’t see the link in the wp-admin sidebar menus to setup the plugin. I did some troubleshooting and understood the KnowledgeBase link shows just below the “Dashboard” link. And I already had a link below Dashboard is the plugin I am using Tevolution (from templatic.com) for setting up listings and events.

when I disactivate the tevolution plugin for testing, the knowledgebase link shows up and vice versa.

need help in showing knowledgebase link so that i can setup the knowledge base in my site. please help.

    regards,
    ganesh

Hi Ganesh, thanks for reporting this conflict between Tevolution Plugin and WP Knowledgebase.

Unfortunately “Tevolution” is a premium (paid) product at a cost of $299, to which I do not own a copy. I’m afraid it’s going to be impossible for me to help you with this, because I can’t test the plugin and examine the code. Given that Tevolution is a commercially supported product I suggest that your best course of action in this case is to get in touch with them for further troubleshooting. Let them know they can post back here in this thread with any suggestions for improvement at my end.

    Thanks, and good luck.

Hi, I have the same problem but for me the link was present and then I updated Avada theme and it put a link under dashboard and now “KnowledgeBase” link has disappeared. Is there somewhere in the configuration you are forcing the position and it is getting over written?

    Thanks

Thanks Ian, that actually has helped isolate the issue. I think you’re right – we’ve told the tab to be place 3, but that means it’s being overwritten by other plugins/themes that do the same. We will fix this up in next release (early next week). Thanks again for your help with this.

brilliant thanks line 45 in kbe_articles.php … set to 60 works fine

Apologies I created a new ticket as I couldn’t initially find this thread.

I seem to be having the same issue as I cannot see the KB tab.

No problem John, this will be fixed in next release (which is imminent) but in the meantime Ian’s solution above works perfectly so if it’s urgent, give that a shot.
