wp-admin broken after url change and proxy setup
-
I have scored through various entries in the forum and have not found any answer to issue I have.
I had wordpress install that could be reached at https://blog.example.com. I was required to change this to https://www.example.com/blog but I could not just move the install to a subdirectory as it was installed on a separate server from https://www.example.com/ (which is actually multiple servers).
I resolved to use the web servers on https://www.example.com/ as proxy servers to the blog such that request to https://www.example.com/blog responds with the blog.
Everything worked out well after I changed site_url and wordpress url for the blog except for wp-admin. Requests to https://www.example.com/blog/wp-admin end up as https://www.example.com/wp-admin and either gives a 404 on the main site or a broken admin page. Please help!
Thanks.
