    Good Day,

I’m using the Ultimate members plugin now for some time, after a recent update it appears the WP admin bar no longer appears in the frontend, I have checked if the admin user role has the check disabled. I can confirm its definitely the UM plugin causing conflict as I’ve changed theme to “Twenty Twenty” as well as disabled every single plugin, the only time the Admin bar reappears is when I disabled the Ultimate members plugin, please can you assist?

    thanks

    Hi @dphoenix

How many roles are assigned to your Test Account? If there’s more than one role, you must set one of the roles as the Primary Role by adding the Priority Number in the UM User Role settings.

Thanks for the quick reply, this was an installation I originally took over, theres quite a few roles (28 to be exact) ALl of the UM roles are set as priority 1, the built in WP role such as Administrator, editor etc have no priority set, is this the issue? thanks

    Hi @dphoenix

Please go to WP Admin > Users > search for your current logged-in account or test account > And then check the Role assigned to your account that has the issue with missing Admin bar.

Ah ok understand now, I see its got 2 roles “Annual Membership”, “Administrator”. “Annual Membership” has no wp-admin access and has priority 1, where as Administrator does have wp-admin access and no priority. Is that the issue, two different roles with different access?

Thanks Champ, I beleive you answered the problem, as there were two roles it was taking the role that never had permissions for the admin toolbar, so I set the admin role priority to 90 as per the documentation and I can access the toolbar again. thanks for the assistance.
