wp-admin area – no show

  • Hi,
    After I install wordpress and I try to go to wp-admin all I get is an index of all the files that have been installed in the wp folder.

    Any ideas why?
    I am desperate to get on and this is really holding me back.

    Just to add to first post – I have installed wp 5 times and uninstalled it 5 times – every time the problem is the same.

    I installed it using fantastico de luxe on hostgator

    If your getting a list of files in the wp folder it’s because you are missing the ‘index.php’, whilst some do install through fantastico, I always install by hand, it’s easier in the long term to fix any errors as you have full control.
