wp-admin accessible if logged in

    Hello there,

    I’d like wp-admin not to be accessible whether you’re logged in or logged out, I just want the dashboard to be accessible using the new custom link “i.e. dashboard”.

    Your plugin blocks wp-admin and refers to 404 if logged out, but if you’re logged in you can still access wp-admin using either “dashboard” or the old “wp-admin”.

    Hi,

    Thanks for your question.

    We don’t hide the wp-admin URLs from the dashboard once you’re logged in as Administrator. This will assure you’re not get locked out from your website once you deactivate the plugin.

    Here you can 2 things Hide My WP can’t do to avoid website errors:

    Hello again,

    First of all thank you so much for the great plugin, I completely understand your point.

    I have another small issue though as follows:

    When I change the wp-admin path, I get an error message in Console “JQuery is not defined”, once I change it back to wp-admin the error is gone, any suggestions?

    Hi,

    Are you getting this error when you’re logged in or after you log out?

    Try to switch on Hide My WP > Advanced > Late loading if you have a cache plugin and see if the error appears again and make sure the paths are changed in frontend.

    Also, check if you switched on Hide My WP > Tweaks > Change Paths For Logged Users if you want to change the paths while you’re logged in.

    This happens while logged in and viewing the wp-admin, the files producing the error are TinyMCE JS files.

    Your suggested solution doesn’t work sadly.

    While you’re in wp-admin, Hide My WP is not changing the paths so probably the theme or a plugin doesn’t work because wp-admin is customized.

    If the js error is not affecting the editor’s functionality, you can ignore it.
