    Hi,

my dashboard stopped working and gives me a 404 error. wp-login.php doesn’t work either. I updated a plugin (Ajax Event Calendar). Some things didn’t work, so in the FAQ of this plugin it said what to do. I followed the instructions (which were: deactivating plugin, changing permissions to 777 of the css folder of that plugin and activating the plugin again). My dashboard stopped working when I hit the button ‘Activate’ of the plugin.

Solutions I found on the internet, but didn’t work:

    1. Changed the folder ‘wp-content’, ‘wp-includes’ and ‘wp-admin’ (and subfolders) to 755.
    2. added a line define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '64M'); to my wp-config.php file
    3. deleted all plugins

    Please help!

  • Have you tried:
    – switching to the Twenty Eleven theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

Using FTP or logging into your hosted account, rename the theme you are using. That will force wp to open with the default theme.

    Hi,

I’m using the twenty eleven theme (with a child theme though).

But everything works fine now. It has been 2 days since I last tried. I reinstalled the Ajax Event Calendar though.
