WP-AddQuicktag after Ungrade 2.1 now Broken

I posted on the plugin writer’s forum (https://roel.meurders.nl/forum/) about the plugin not working, but I there’s been no response so far.

So it’s back to editing quicktags.js – instructions here:

It looks like it works when you are managing a post, but not working on a new post.
also when you are managing a post it has all the quicktags, the default ones and the one in the add quicktags plugin.

Found a way to make it work!
There is a german version that works for 2.1
