WP 5.6 Link Box Issue

    After updating to WP5.6 there is a weird bug. WHen you highlight a piece of text in the post editor and then select “Affiliate Link” to open the search box, the search box then jumps across the screen when you move the mouse. Sometimes you can kind of catch it and type something into the search box, sometimes it just goes off the screen!

    I created a staging version of my site and disabled all other plugins, plus switched to the default WordPress theme. The issue was still visible so this is not a clash with another theme or plugin.

    Thank you for reporting it. We are aware of this and the fix will be released in the next update.

    In the meantime, if you try and use the keyboard arrows + enter key, rather than moving the mouse, it may make it easier to work with.
