WP 5.5.1 issue

  • Just started to setup Posts in Page and my site updated WP to 5.5.1. I am using the following two shortcodes in my pages which are not working in 5.5.1
    [ic_add_posts category=’category-slug’]
    [ic_add_posts exclude_category=’category-slug’]

    Has anyone else seen this?

    Hi @ricschug – are those the actual shortcodes you’re using? What category slugs are you actually pulling in?

    You should be able to see the category slugs in your WordPress Admin under:

    <yoururlgoeshere>/wp-admin/edit-tags.php?taxonomy=category

    Does that help?

    Thanks for the quick response. MY actual shortcodes are:

    [ic_add_posts category=’members-only’]

    [ic_add_posts exclude_category=’members-only’]

    there is something funny about this slug I’m using. If I replace my slugs with another slug then things work fine and I also noticed that at the wp-admin categories page you pointed me to the count for this slug is listed as 0 yet when I click on it I see 4 posts with that category. I don’t understand what is going on will need to dig deeper.
