WP 5.2 < .php files show 404 not found

  • Hi all,

    I noticed that in 5.2 version I can’t access any .php files.

    I tried to put the file anywhere in the website and every time I got 404 page.

    However I installed 5.1 version with the same setup and all works perfect.

    So what I want to know is:
    1. what changes were done in 5.2
    2. how do I access .php files in wordpress now?

  • Where are you putting PHP files that you access? How are you accessing them? I have to say uploading PHP files to access is not normally how WordPress is used.
