WP 5.2 changed product url format

  • try flushing your permalinks, by visiting https://yourdomain.com/wp-admin/options-permalink.php then again save the structure you already have.

    If I do that then my internal links do not work. Search results page shows a list. I click on an item and get 404.

    ALSO I suspect the next Word Press update will reverse my changes.

    This problem applies to ALL my pages, not just products in Woo Commerce.

    How do I get google, etc. to re index? I submitted my site map to the google search console 3 days ago. No change.

    Today I see this on Google Search console

    Sitemap can be read, but has errors
    Missing XML tag
    1 instance
    This required tag is missing. Please add it and resubmit.

    pages I submitted to URL inspection this AM are now working correctly
