• I’ve got WP 5.0 installed on my site, with Gutenberg in all its glory n’ stuff, but when I activate my custom theme (https://github.com/haydennyyy/flux) it stops me being able to use the editor at all (block or classic). On block, it gives me a blank admin page, and on classic, it just shows a completely white screen. Both complain about tinymce not being defined, and everything else in the admin panel seems to stop too, like menus showing up on hover (for posts, users, settings, etc.). Is there something there that could be breaking something in WP5? I wanna use it but I **hate** Twenty Nineteen.

  • Did you write the custom theme? Does it do something with the editor?
Perhaps the update was incomplete. I would try the Reinstall button first.
Both editors should work with all themes.

Yes, I did @joyously and it does nothing with the editor.

I downloaded a copy of your theme and activated it on a fresh WordPress 5.0 test site. It works fine, no issues.

So, it’s not your theme. Keep looking for the source of the problem.
