WP 4.4, no visual editor and edit bar

    – I tried looking at debug logs but nothing seemed to be with site files
    – I tried installing debug plugin but it looked at front-end, my issue is with backend
    – disabled all plugins, no change (flushed cache, tried different browsers)
    – disabled all plugins and tried 2015 theme, no change (flushed cache, tried different browsers)

    The site no longer has visual editor or the toolbar. I’m not certain how long it’s been going on since I just migrated from a development server to the live server. I did have trouble during migration and the database seems to be randomly affected (forms exist once the plugin was reactivated, but add-ons for salesforce are missing).

    The live server is Windows and uses php 5.6.14. I’m not sure how to debug so any help is greatly appreciated.

    turns out there was something wrong with my user settings, so I created a new user and am able to see the visual edit again.
