WP 3.9 Beta 1 – Gallery live preview

    Galleries now receive a live preview in the editor. Upload some photos and insert a gallery to see this in action.

    Probably I misunderstand this: If I create a new gallery and change the columns e.g. to 4 the live preview does not show this. It always shows 3 columns. In the post there are 4 columns, that works fine.

  • The point is to show a live preview of the images to be shown, but I’ll look into the columns part.

    The gallery preview in the editor should honor the columns setting and re-render if you edit an existing gallery and change the number of columns. To try and track down the issue you are seeing, if possible, could you give it another try with all plugins deactivated using a default theme like Twenty Thirteen?

    Can’t reproduce. Columns resize right in the Visual post editor and preview on Twenty Fourteen.
