WP 3.6 messes with the ability to click on "categories" to add new category item

WP 3.6 messes with the ability to click on “categories” to add new category items to the menu (and a few other things: Appearance>Menus>Links, Categories, Format.)
Works in terms of getting sticky posts at the top of the category archive pages but I think I’m just going to try editing the child theme instead since I don’t know what else this might break and editing the child theme seems like a simpler solution over editing someone else’s plugin.
No menu plugins added. Problem started with this plugin and resolves when this plugin is deactivated (tried several times with the same results, absolutely points to this plugin. I did not deactivate all other plugins to find out if it was a plugin conflict or a WP conflict.)
