WP 3.5 Update > editor gone/editting not working

  • Dear WP-Experts.

    after I updated WordPress to the latest release (3.5) the editor as well as the content within the editor is not shown. The blog (frontend) works.

    I am not able to edit any post or creat new posts. The switch between the visual and the text view does not work.

    Any idea what went wrong?

  • Have you tried:

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the default theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

    – resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading all files & folders – except the wp-content folder – from a fresh download of WordPress. Make sure that you delete the old copies of files & folder before uploading the new ones.

    esmi, thank you for your kind help.

    Tried all of your suggestions. None of them worked. I exported all items and installed a fresh version of WP 3.5.

    No I am facing a news problem. The XML import works unfortunately the special character are not imported properly.

    In case of a special character the upload of additional character within the article ist stopped and the process imports the next article.

    How do I import posts containing special charakters properly?
