WP 3.5 Thumbnails Not working

    For some reason thumbnails are not working in the media manager at all. The images are there including the thumbnails, but they won’t show up on either the website or the dashboard.

    Things I’ve tried:

      Switching to the default theme (then I switched back again to emerald stretch because switching themes didn’t help)
      deactivating all plugins
      re-uploading fresh 3.5 files
      clearing my cache’s
      forcing thumbnail regeneration

    I’m so frustrated I actually started building a new site on a subdomain with the intention of changing the URL once it’s finished to make it my new website. Thumbnails work on the new website, just not on the old one. Even uploading new images, will not create viewable thumbnails. As I said the actual thumbnails are there, but they just won’t show up.

    Ok I finally figured out what my problem was, it turned out that I had an .htaccess file in my wp-content/uploads/ directory. I didn’t see the file until I went into the directory via cpanel instead of accessing it by FTP. I made sure it wasn’t a required file for anything then I deleted it and the problem is solved ??
