WP 3.5 Media Manager user interface not showing

    I’ve a site that I have WP 3.5 on. For some reason the new WP 3.5 interface doesn’t show up — the old interface still shows up. (e.g. when I click the add media button the old 3.1 interface style shows.)

    I’ve disabled all plugins, switched the theme to 2012 and still can’t get the new interface.

    I’ve checked a couple of other wp installs that I have and they seem to be working fine with the new 3.5 media manager interface.

    Any ideas what might be causing this?

  • Hi Norm,
    This could be a cache issue,
    Is it still an issue for you?
    Have you tried a manual over write of the Wp system files:
    folders wp-includes, wp-admin ?

    Thanks for the reply Daiv… I thought it might be a cache issue so I deleted the cache, uninstalled, and reinstalled… not the solution.

    However, based on your suggestion I thought I would try a reinstall of WP 3.5… I just hit the “reinstall” button on the wp dashboard. That seemed to do the trick! The new gallery is now showing up. Thanks so much for the idea! ??

    I’ve had the same problem. I have two sites and have updated both from 3.4 to 3.5 and neither site will show the new media library. I still have the old one that “lists” all my images. I’ve tried reinstalling and that didn’t work.

    @eemcgee: As per the Forum Welcome, please post your own topic. Posting in an existing topic prevents us from being able to track issues by topic. Added to which, your problem – despite any similarity in symptoms – is likely to be completely different.
