WP 3.1RC2 – "publish" module in new post module won't toggle open

  • While I cansave a new post using “Press This” bookmarklet, when in (on?) the Add New Post page, none of the draggable modules will open or close. And the Publish module is closed, at least so far, in all of my WP installs. Result – not easy to post.

    My primary machine is a Dell running Windows 7 Home Premium w/ 4 gig RAM. I’ve gotten this error on this machine using both Firefox 3.6.6., and Chrome 8.0.552.224 (current).

    Thinking it might have to do with hardware, I tested on a MacBook using Firefox – same result. Also limited to “new post” and not “new page or other areas.

    Also – am not certain of this – but I think it started not immediately after installing WordPress 3.1 RC2 – but several days later.

    Am happy to answer any questions about this possible bug – and also happy if anyone has workarounds that might work.

    I’ve isolated the problem as not being part of WP 3.1 RC2, but rather a plugin. I disabled all plugins, and am selectively activating them to try to recreate the problem. If and when I discover the cause, will post here. JS
