• Hello! ??
    I’ve installed wp 3.0b1 but when I try to open my admin panel after database upgrade from 2.9.2 I reiceve this error:
    Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 30720 bytes) in /wp-admin/includes/template.php on line 102

    It’s a memory limit issue, so I’ve opened wp-settings.php to define a higher limit but I can’t find that line anymore! I’ve tried adding:

    if ( !defined(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’) )
    define(‘WP_MEMORY_LIMIT’, ’42M’);

    if ( function_exists(‘memory_get_usage’) && ( (int) @ini_get(‘memory_limit’) < abs(intval(WP_MEMORY_LIMIT)) ) )
    @ini_set(‘memory_limit’, WP_MEMORY_LIMIT);

    … but it doesn’t work.. can you help me?

    Thanks! :=)

  • Methods for increasing the amount of memory a PHP script may consume

    1. If you have access to your PHP.ini file, change the line in PHP.ini
    If your line shows 32M try 64M:
    memory_limit = 64M ; Maximum amount of memory a script may consume (64MB)

    2. If you don’t have access to PHP.ini try adding this to an .htaccess file:
    php_value memory_limit 64M

    3. Try adding this line to your wp-config.php file:
    define('WP_MEMORY_LIMIT', '64M');

    4. Talk to your host.
