Wp 3.0.1 install error / Call to undefined function is_multisite()

    I had ver. 2.8.6 and the autoinstall didn’t work – nothing happened except it said it downloaded it.

    I did a manual install. However when I tried to access the url I got this error: Fatal error: Call to undefined function is_multisite() in /home/birdquot/public_html/wp-includes/wp-db.php on line 505

    In the wp-db.php function it seems to indicate Multisite Blogs is @since 3.0.0

    I don’t know php although I am a programmer.

    Anyone, how do I solve this?
