WP 3.0 failed to complete.

I upgraded from 2.9.2 to 3.0 from my GoDaddy hosting account. It shows the installation complete. When I log in to my blog I get a message on the top that says “An Automated WordPress update has failed to complete – please attempt to update again now” which is a hyperlink also. It starts the process and then stops. It goes to the install step or the database update step and does not go any further. So keep getting the error message on the top.
