wp 2.8.6 VS wp 2.9 -> Permissions

    Ok, the problem is rather simple. Whenever I use the files and revert back to my old 2.8.6 database wordpress works like a charm. However if I upgrade to wordpress 2.9 I get this strange permissions error after I update the DB.

    I ran out of options. I tried several restores of my DB, several installs of wordpress 2.9 and the problem seems to persist. There is something in the tables upgrade that kills my wordpress installation. :/

  • What’s the error? Have you tried repairing the database before you upgrade?

    When I login to the back end I get “You do not have enough permissions to access this page.”

    And yes, I tried to repair the DB before the upgrade. I’m kind of lost here. :S
