• I just installed a a new clean version of WP on a new domain of mine. Everything went fine with the install but something it’s right with the images in the themes. The default Kubrick isn’t right. So when the new theme I uploaded didn’t work it wasn’t a surprise. I’ve worked on and set up several WP blogs and I’m pretty sure I did everything right. It’s very bizzare. It’s like it’s missing something. What I don’t know. I’m re-installed it a few times.

I though about that and I checked to see if that was the issue but the option wasn’t enabled in the cpanel. The other sites I have hosted there aren’t having an issues. *shrug*

Is this site on the same server as your others?

yes…I have eStudio site and another….

Is there a viable .htaccess in the root of this particular wp installation? If so, could you post what’s included in it please?

there is an .htaccess in the root of the red betty wp installation but it’s empty…noting is there…something should be there I know that…ok….how the heck do I get the info there?

Make that .htaccess file 777 using your ftp client or your cPanel file manager. Then access your wp-admin/options, permalinks tab. Select which type of permalink you want, click update.

Should write to it. If not, it should give you some stuff to copy into the file and save.

Cool. I will try that. Thanks a bunch for your help. I learn something new everyday! : )

Well, hope it works! Oh, whatever happens, be sure you set the htaccess file BACK TO 644 when you’re done with it!
