Wow! Hilarious. Your KB doesn’t have a search feature.

  • I find this actually unbelievable – really.

    Someone suggested your plugin, I’m using it. It works OK.

    Well, since I can’t search for the answer on your KB page, then I’ll have to post the question.

    How do you index content that has numeric versions?

    For example, “software v1.2”

    Customer enters search for Software v1.2 and the plugin just returns results for “Software” and totally ignores the v1.2. Thus instead of 1 result the customer gets 20-30 or more.

    Go to the Indexing tab in Relevanssi settings, scroll down until you find “Advanced indexing settings”. In there, you will find the setting for “Decimal separators”. Set that to “keep” to keep periods between numbers.

    Oops, sorry. It’s currently available in Relevanssi Premium, but not in the free version. Next version will have it.

    Meanwhile, see the code example on the bottom of this KB page.

    Hi Mikko,

    Maybe you should subscribe to Premium for your own website so there is a search feature.

    I mean the Twitter folks would have a ball with the memes. A search plugin author that doesn’t have a search feature on his own site. Amazing …

    Save a lot of people a lot of time. Can’t believe out of 1.6 million downloads I’m the only one that has brought this to your attention.

    There’s a Relevanssi Premium search on Relevanssi.com, it’s always been there. The search form just is on the sidebar, and that particular page doesn’t have a sidebar. Just about every other page does. I’ve now added one on the Knowledge Base page as well.

    (Also, a pro tip: on every WordPress site, the search is at https://www.example.com/?s=searchterm. I’ve used that couple of times when the search has been too well hidden.)
