First of all, apologies that you lost some tickets there. Very frustrating and potentially critical. The internet is a tough crowd, but I deserve a 1 star for mucking up that bad ??
It saddens me to see that you feel so polarized against my work. Yes, there was a bug in 4.8.4 that was serious enough to cause some tickets to be deleted, which is about as bad of a bug as you can have. It was quickly patched in 4.8.5, but not before wrecking some havoc for the 12 or so hours it was out.
Back in 2011, I initially coded the ajax in way that was incorrect but worked on most servers. However, it caused the plugin to fail on certain non-standard WordPress configurations, unbeknownst to me for a long time. That’s what the title of this 1 star review is about:

So in refactoring (fixing) the code so as to do everything 100% the correct WordPress way, I had to rewrite all the ajax calls and admin post stuff, which included the create, reply, view and delete ticket functionality. When I did this rewrite, my test cases did not reveal this bug, nor did my use testing, so I shipped the code changes out live in 4.8.4. The next morning I checked these forums and noted a bug report and immediately realized the issue, fixed it, and released 4.8.5.
I mess up sometimes. I’m human. The point is, I fix my mess ups. I already provide full support, no purchase necessary or required. Buying PRO doesn’t come with any extra support, because full support for the core open source plugin is already provided here on the WordPress forums:

I’m working on multiple ways to reduce the influx of new bugs, including test cases, as well as introducing a new beta setting that allows admins to test new beta features opt-in, but disabled by default until the features are proven fully functional and stable.
Anyway, thanks for your feedback. Let me know if there’s something I can do to help you change your mind.
