• Edit: Developer responds quickly, but more headaches than it’s worth it if you’re using Thrive.

    Original review:

Holy crap, I don’t leave negative reviews too often but JEEZ.

Not only does this plugin NOT speed up the site, but the second you update any content, it strips ALL THE STYLING OUT OF THE PAGE. It gets better though, if you disable and remove the plugin, it doesn’t revert back!

So with this wonderful piece of programming BS, you get ZERO site speed improvements, but a ton of CSS fixes added to your to-do list.

Seriously guys, not sure how this plugin has so many good reviews. I installed it on 2 sites and it did the same thing. STAY AWAY!

    Ouch …

I’d have been happy to help you out obplanet, but I doubt you’re willing to go there based on your review.

Still, given it’s active on over 700 000 sites and has a lot of 5-star reviews it cannot be _that_ bad, can it? ??

Let me know if you ever want to revisit, I hang around here quite often ??

    have a nice day,

I am using thrive architect. It happened on 2/2 sites and had me spending about 3 hours fixing things just to get back to where I was before adding this plugin. Incredibly frustrating. I have never had issues with any other speed plugins and thrive before.

I am not sure you’ve tested it with Thrive or not, but I would suggest looking into it.

    Thanks for the response.

Most important tip; after disabling AO (or the CSS optimization) always purge your page cache and all (or CSS) should be back to the pre-AO state (as AO makes no change to the original JS/ CSS/ HTML).

Regarding Thrive; we have done optimization gigs with Thrive, so it _can_ work, but I have indeed heard from others that it can be … challenging.
