Would like to remove images from blog page

Really like this theme a lot. Just trying to tweak to make it work fully the way we’d like. We did not need the slider (cool though it is!), which I managed to remove by editing home.php, so that’s good, however, at this point we’re just not planning to have images associated with posts terribly frequently, so would like to simply remove that functionality. Any tips?

Also, if possible would like to set up the blog page so it shows the entire article for each article rather than simply summaries of the articles.
